Nature-Deficit Disorder - NYTimes.com
Kids who do play outside are less likely to get sick, to be stressed or become aggressive, and are more adaptable to life’s unpredictable turns, Louv said.
I totally get this. I once met this girl at my grandmas funeral wake who was a very distant relative. She was from Vancouver. The wake was at my aunties farm in the middle of the prairie. She was floored by how blue the sky was and how much sky and empty space there was. I was floored by how little she knew about nature. Makes me sad. I also read in the National Geographic once that kids who spend lots of time outside and around animals on farms and such are less likely to develop asthma or allergies. TAKE BACK THE NATURE!
